August 2025 - Pack & Pedal: A Women’s Intro to Bikepacking offering

$300.00

Pack & Pedal: A Women’s Intro to Bikepacking offering

Friday - Sunday, August 30th - Sept 1st

Teton Valley, Idaho

From “I’ve always wanted to” to “I did it!”

Ladies! Curious about bikepacking but not sure where to start? This women’s-only intro trip is the perfect way to learn the essentials of overnight adventure riding in a supportive, confidence-building environment—while exploring the scenic Big Hole Mountains.

Your experience includes two 2.5-hour prep sessions leading up to a three-day, two-night guided trip, where you'll get hands-on instruction in:

  • What to Bring: A breakdown of essential gear, clothing, tools, and how to pack light without sacrificing comfort or safety

  • How to Pack Your Bike: Strategies for balancing your load, choosing and using bikepacking bags, and setting up your rig for comfort and control

  • Food & Water Planning: How to estimate your needs, pack efficiently, choose trail-friendly meals, and manage water access and purification

  • Route Planning Basics: How to build realistic daily mileage, choose terrain that suits your ability, and use navigation tools to stay on track

  • Leave No Trace (LNT): Learn how to tread lightly in the backcountry, minimize your impact, and practice responsible outdoor ethics while traveling by bike

Fitness Note:
This trip requires moderate to strong fitness—you should be comfortable riding 10–15 miles per day on dirt roads and technical singletrack trails, carrying extra weight (and you can always walk harder sections!) Daily pace will be mellow and supportive, but endurance and a positive attitude toward climbing are essential.

Gear Note:
You’ll need a reliable, well-maintained mountain bike for this trip. Riders may need to invest in or borrow a few bikepacking bags in advance (we’ll cover setup and packing tips in the prep sessions). We’ll send a full packing list after registration.

Expect slow miles, gorgeous views, shared meals, and a whole lot of trail-side encouragement. This is your chance to build your backcountry confidence and take the leap into bikepacking—with a rad crew of women cheering you on.

Prep sessions are Thursday, 8/21 & Thursday 8/28 from 6 - 8:30pm. Trip is 8am start on Saturday, August 30th and concludes during the afternoon on Monday, September 1st.

Open to female identifying riders, ages 18+.

Max group size is 6.
